TV and Film Unit Stills Photographer

Hello!

I’m Rachel, a Welsh-speaking photographer based in Cardiff, South Wales.

I've worked as a full-time freelance photographer for over 15 years, creating imagery for broadcast, commercial and editorial clients across the UK and abroad. Over the past several years, I've specialised in unit stills, behind-the-scenes photography and publicity imagery for film and television productions, combining strong visual storytelling with a professional understanding of life on set.

I have worked with clients including BBC, ITV, S4C, EE and Six Nations Rugby, producing publicity photography, promotional campaigns, behind-the-scenes coverage, editorial features and key marketing imagery. My focus is always on creating cinematic, authentic photographs that capture the atmosphere, emotion and story of a production.

I work with a full professional Sony system and shoot silently during filming, allowing me to document productions discreetly without disrupting the set. Whether capturing pivotal moments between takes, publicity portraits, or the energy behind the camera, I aim to create imagery that serves both the production and its audience.

“We had the absolute pleasure of working with Rachel Lambert at Coed Hills during our recent short film shoot, and what a gift she was to the whole process. Rachel has that rare knack of blending right in — we hardly noticed she was there, yet when we saw the photographs, it was clear she’d caught the very heart and soul of the shoot.

Her images are simply outstanding, full of atmosphere and a real sense of place, capturing not only the action but the spirit of the crew working together. Nothing was too much trouble for her — she was helpful, patient, and utterly professional, but in that quietly effortless way that makes everything feel fuss-free.

It was a joy to have her on set, and we’ll certainly be calling on her again. Diolch yn fawr iawn, Rachel — you’ve given us a collection of behind-the-scenes memories we’ll treasure every bit as much as the film itself.”

Rachel is an extremely accomplished photographer. With her expertise and skills, she has been a wonderful asset behind the scenes on location with the series - Demons Way. She will be welcome on set for the whole season.

“Absolutely loved working with Rachel! Super professional and creative. The photos came out stunning - full of personality. Can’t recommend her enough if you want someone who knows how to capture the moment.”
